The debut of the Axon 30 5G smartphone is slated for July 27 at a ZTE event. It turns out that the smartphone isn’t the only thing it’ll show off on that day. The ZTE Buds and LiveBuds Pro, two new TWS earbuds from the Chinese company, will be unveiled.
The ZTE Buds and ZTE LiveBuds Pro will join the LiveBuds, which were introduced last year, and the LiveBuds SE, which were unveiled in April, for a total of four ZTE TWS earbuds. The LiveBuds Pro features six microphones (three on each earbud) and a compact form factor, according to a ZTE Weibo post, while the ZTE Buds offers a long battery life. The design of the two sets of earphones is also shown in the attached photograph.
The ZTE LiveBuds (not the most imaginative name) are a pair of low-cost TWS earbuds featuring noise-canceling technology (ENC). The earbuds have short stems and silicone ear tips in terms of design. They’re also somewhat different from ZTE’s previous TWS earbuds, the Nubia Pods, which were released last year. The LiveBuds, like the Nubia Pods, are the result of a partnership between ZTE and 1More.
Touch controls are supported, and each earphone features two microphones, according to ZTE. They weigh 4 grams apiece, come in a black casing, and have a 20-hour battery life (case included). Bluetooth 5.0 and an IPX5 waterproof certification are also included.
Both earbuds will be white, however, the designs will be distinct. The ZTE Buds have a long stem and an open-fit design. It also has a higher but smaller carrying case. The closed design of the LiveBuds Pro has silicone tips that enable passive noise canceling. The earphones and the carrying case also include LEDs. While these earbuds will undoubtedly be more expensive than the LiveBuds and LiveBuds SE, we anticipate that they will remain reasonable.
