TicWatch Pro 3 & TicWatch E3 to get update for Wear OS soon

Google introduced a new version of Wear OS in collaboration with Samsung and Fitbit at Google I/O 2021. The South Korean tech company revealed earlier this week at MWC 2021 that this functionality will appear on its next-generation wearables. According to a rumor, Mobvoi’s most powerful TicWatches would receive the revised operating system as an upgrade.

Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro 3 and TicWatch E3 will be upgraded to the latest Google Wear OS, according to Wareable (via GSMArena). These two smartwatches are the only ones powered by Snapdragon Wear 4100 that are currently available internationally.

The upgrade is expected to be released by the end of 2021 or early 2022, according to the publication’s source. In any case, Mobvoi has yet to make an official announcement about software support for the aforementioned items.

Qualcomm announced a few weeks ago that the Snapdragon Wear 4100 and Snapdragon Wear 3100 can run Google’s new wearable operating system, commonly known as Wear OS 3.0. Regardless, Fossil has stated that none of its current-generation smartwatches would be upgraded to the new unified Wear OS.
