Qualcomm has now revealed the launch of a new range of mobile connectivity systems with the Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 and Qualcomm FastConnect 6700. The FastConnect 6900 and 6700 solutions are sampling now and will ship in production at the time of the second half of 2020.
The mobile connectivity system features come loaded with a host of interesting features. To start with, FastConnect 6900 provides with a WiFi speed of around 3.6GBps on any mobile Wi-Fi offering, while the FastConnect 6700 provides with 3Gbps speeds.
Both the chipset come with a Qualcomm 4K QAM that it claims will enhance gaming and ultra HD streaming.
FastConnect 6900 delivers an extra boost of performance with an additional unique feature implementation of 4-stream dual-band simultaneous with the multi-band capabilities.
FastConnect 6900 and 6700 also integrate Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity options. The chipsets come with the Qualcomm aptX Adaptive supporting wire equivalent audio and Qualcomm aptX Voice, providing quality calls. When coupled with the premium features of Qualcomm QCC5141, QCC3046, QCC5144, and QCC3040 Audio SoC, users can expect premium and robust audio quality with lower power consumption.
The FastConnect 6900 and FastConnect 6700 come with ultra-latency and offer high speed for emerging mobile app, which it even claims will boost mobile gaming and some other XR applications.
The chipset provides latency reduction of around 8x in congested environments, and it also comes with Wireless VR class latency for head-mounted displays. The brand also claims both of them come with a 14nm process node combined with power management architecture that offers around 50% improvement in power efficiency, compared to previous generation solutions.
Company is also looking to reveal some of the new Qualcomm chipset for the purpose of fast process and high quality wifi capabilities.
