Apple has finally released its 5th Developer Preview of iOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13, tvOS 11, and watchOS 4 to users who are participating in the developer beta testing program.
The Public preview is expected to come shortly after the developer preview. The developers are now testing their latest build by providing us with Developer Preview so they can finalize their build.
The latest preview has made certain improvements on bug fixing and some minor changes on its usability and features. Additionally, we can see is that Messages in iCloud has been removed from beta 5 and pushed to a future iOS 11 updates.
If you are a developer who is running ios 11 on their devices then you can easily update your ios 11 to the beta preview 5, you need to move to your phone’s Settings app to update your device to the latest release. If you are using and version of iOS 10 then open the developer center to download the configuration profile for this release. You will also get an IPSW for Download.
The apple’s new developer preview brings noticeable change and minor fixes of bugs and improvements:Here are some of the features that have been discovered so far:
- New splash screen mode and new multitasking features on the Camera app.
- Messages in iCloud feature has been discontinued.
- Camera app now shows a square around the ‘+’ level indicator.
- Camera on screen lines have now been removed.
- Health app data sharing option available.
- A new wave icon is shown on the Now Playing in Control Center to quickly change speaker sources.
You can Download iOS 11 developer beta 5 from the iOS Settings app, macOS High Sierra 10.13 beta 5 is available as an update through the Mac App Store, and tvOS 11 beta 5 and watchOS 4 beta 5 can be downloaded through their respective software update.
Beta system software are unreliable and unstable so we wont recommend you to update it, but if you are one of those guys who are curious about updating and testing new features and you can update your device to public preview 5.
