LG Velvet with 6.8-inch display, 48MP triple-rear camera launched

LG has now finally revealed its much anticipated LG Velvet smartphone. The phone will be sold in South Korea for INR 55780, starting from the 15th of May.

The LG Velvet comes in four color options of Aurora Green, Aurora White, Aurora Gray, and Illusion Sunset. The phone also supports some accessories like Stylus Pen, LG Dual Screen, which are being sold separately.

LG Velvet comes with a unique 3D Arc design with slightly curved edges and a 6.8inch Full HD+ Cinema FullVision OLED display with a pixel resolution of 2340 x 1080 and an aspect ratio of 20.5:9. The phone also sports with a waterdrop notch display with a front camera inside on the top of the display.

It is supported by a 2.4 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 765G 7nm processor with 5G support paired with the Adreno 620 GPU.

On the software front, it runs on the Android 10 out of the box, and it packs with a battery capacity of 4300mAh with support for the fast charging support and 10W wireless charging as well. The smartphone comes with an 8GB RAM + 128GB of storage, which can be extended further of 2TB with MicroSD card slot.

On the optics department, the smartphone comes with a waterdrop camera design, meaning that the rear cameras are aligned vertically, to give a feel of water droplets are falling.

On the back, the LG Velvet features a triple camera setup with a combination of 48MP rear camera with LED flash, 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 5MP depth sensor. On the front, there is a 16MP camera for the selfies.

Some of the connectivity features include the NFC, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, 5G, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and Type C port. The phone measures 167.2×74.1×7.9mm in dimensions and weigh 180 grams.
