The German camera maker Lecia Camera AG has now today revealed the launch of its new monochrome DSLR camera in India. Dubbed by the name as Leica camera, the camera is available for the pre-orders in India at the cost of INR 675000.
The key highlight of the camera is the new 40MP black and white sensor that the company claims to deliver the natural sharpness in all lighting conditions. The camera is also touted to be the first black and white camera with a sensitivity range of ISO 160 to 1SO 100000. The new sensor supports all lenses of the Leica M Portfolio.
Leica M10 Monochrom Specifications
The Leica M10 Monochrom is revealed to offer almost an inaudible shutter, and the quietest shutter release of all the M-Cameras ever built. Moreover, the camera does not have Leica red dot logo on the front, though it features engraved logotype ‘Leica M10 Monochrom on the top plate’.

“The consistent omission of color-filled engravings is a design element that additionally emphasizes the black-and-white character of the camera,” the company said in a statement.
The camera top and base plated are milled from the solid blocks of the brass. The brand claims that the Leica M10 Monochrom can weather even the toughest external conditions. It supports SD cards of around 2GB, SDHC cards of around 32GB, and SDXC cards of around 2TB.
The camera also sports with a 3-inch colors TFT LCD Monitor with 16 million colors and 1036800 pixels. The device also comes loaded with the Large, bright-line frame viewfinder with automatic parallax compensation.
