Being connected constantly is a real necessity in the 21st century. With so many things happening in the world daily, you need to stay in touch with friends and family.
However, sometimes errors can occur in the iOS messaging application, leaving us without the possibility of continuing from our iPad the conversation we started on our iPhone.
In this article, we will show you how to correctly and successfully synchronize the iMessages on your iPhone and iPad, so that you can chat no matter what Apple device you are using.
Synchronize iMessage from your iPhone or iPad
To start receiving messages from any of our devices, we will first have to do the following :
- We’re going to the Settings app.
- Once here, look for the Messages section, sliding to the lowest settings.
- Within Messages, we’ll tap on ” Send and Receive “.
We are not going to take too long here. Just touch any of the emails that appear to select or deselect it. If you see that the email you are using is not active, click on it to link it to your iMessages.
If you have a Mac …
If you have a Mac device, just follow these instructions to start receiving and sending messages from it to any other phone.
- Open the Messages app.
- Here we are going to go to Preferences.
- Click the Accounts tab.
- Just like you did on your iPhone or iPad, select or deselect the emails you want to use to send and receive iMessages from your Mac.
If you already did all the previous steps, now you will only have to restart iMessage on your iPhone. For this, you will have to go to the configuration of the messages of your iPhone – as in the first step – and turn off the iMessage switch, wait a few seconds and reactivate it.
Once you have done all this, you should already be able to chat for messages from your Mac, iPad, iPod or iPhone. The possibilities are unlimited in the Apple ecosystem.
