Honor Play, a new flagship smartphone from Huawei has been launched in India. The smartphone is an Amazon exclusive, and is already started for sale. The key major highlights of the smartphone include its 19.5:9 display, and its dual rear camera setup. Some of the advanced features on the smartphone, which includes scene, object, and 3D facial recognition, AI-based Face Unlock, Notification Safety, Party Mode, and more.
Honor Play price in India, launch offers
The smartphone has been priced at the cost of Rs. 19,999 for the model of 4GB RAM variant, and goes up to Rs. 23,999 for the variant of 6GB RAM. The smartphone is available exclusively on the ecommerce portal Amazon in three color options of Midnight Black and Navy Blue.
Operating System and Display
The dual-SIM (Nano) Honor Play runs on the EM User Interface 8.2, which is completely based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The smartphone sports a display of 6.3-inch full-High Definition+ (1080×2340 pixels) with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a display notch.
Processor
When it comes to the processor the smartphone is supported and powered by the top-end Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC (four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz), which is paired with either the 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending upon the model.
Photography department
The smartphone bears a dual camera setup, one is of 16-megapixel sensor sporting an f/2.2 aperture, and the secondary 2-megapixel sensor sporting an f/2.4 aperture, complete with support for phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and is totally accompanied by a single-LED flash. On the front part, the Honor Play features a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture for taking selfies and video calling.
Storage part
The smartphone has a 64GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expanded further via microSD card of up to 256GB in a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.
Connectivity part
Now when it comes to the connectivity part, the smartphone has 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual-band, 2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C (v2.0), GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It bears a fingerprint rear on the rear panel.
Battery and measurements
The Honor Play weighs around 176 grams, and have dimensions of 157.91×74.27×7.48mm with respect to length x height x thickness. The smartphone is fueled with a battery of 3750mAh which is non removable one.
