    In the first quarter of this year, the global mobile demand increased by 37 percent year over year. The market was able to generate over $100 billion in sales as a result of this.

    Global Smartphone Revenue Crosses $100 Billion

    According to a StrategyAnalytics survey, the competition generated a significant amount of revenue, with Apple leading the pack. We previously announced that the iPhone 12 series had the best sales and earnings in the entire industry.

    “Apple and Samsung remain consistent front runners in revenue terms, but rivalry among the chasing pack is intense,” said Linda Sui, Senior Director at Strategy Analytics.

    Similarly, Senior Analyst Yiwen Wu said, “The global smartphone industry is remarkable, with super premium smartphones with wholesale prices above $900 accounting for 25% of sales.”

    These highly lucrative markets are dominated by Apple and Samsung. In Q1 2021, Vivo ranked first in the $400 to $499 wholesale category, while Oppo ranked first in the US$191 to $299 segment. This fifth, Transsion retained its lead in the entry tier (US$36 to $99).”
