    How to Enable Safari Website Icons in iOS 12

    Apple has finally launched the iOS 12 and has also introduces website icons which are known as favicons for the safari browser. So, here is a complete guide with the help of which you can enable this feature in your iPhone, iPad and the iPod touch.

    What are Favicons?

    A “Favicon” which is also called as a website icon or tab icons is an image file which is associated with a website. It is generally used for advertising and branding purposes and allows the user to easily identify a website just by looking at its favicon easily and gradually.

    Additionally, iOS 12 is the very first firmware version that has introduces the concept of favicon support to all the Apple devices which includes Mac, iPhone and iPad. Instead that users has to use the third party third-party tweaks to get this functionality.

    Enabling Icons in Safari in Web browser

    Step 1: First of all you need to open the stock Settings app from the home screen of the device.

    Step 2: Then go to Safari browser.

    Step 3: The third step is to toggle on the “Show Icons in Tabs” option to enable the favicons.

    That is all you have to do it to enable it on your iOS device. Now whenever a browse a website from now on, favicons or website icons will appear in Safari tabs.

    There is also an option if you want to go to the older favicon-less look, simply open the Settings of the device and disable the option of “Show Icons in Tabs”.
