Apple has released iOS 11 beta 9, macOS High Sierra beta 9, and tvOS 11 betas 9 for users in the developer beta testing programs. Additionally, iOS 11 public beta 8 is available, which is the same release as the dev build.
The developer preview of iOS 11 beta 9 and public beta 8 of iOS 11 are both available to download now for any device that is currently enrolled in the developer beta testing program. Open the Settings app and check Software Update to find the update to download.
macOS High Sierra beta 9 can be found via the Mac App Store Updates section.
There are no obvious new features or major changes in the ninth beta of iOS 11 or macOS High Sierra, suggesting the release is focusing on smaller bug fixes and improvements as the software finalize before the wider public release.
Apple is hosting an event on September 12 to launch new iPhones (presumably for that purpose, anyway), and we’ll likely get an official launch date of iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra 10.13 on that date as well.
If you’re impatient and feel like running iOS 11 or macOS High Sierra now, anyone can do so via the Public Beta testing program. iOS 11 is perhaps most noteworthy on the iPad but is still interesting on the iPhone too.
