Accessory producer Anker has released three new Gallium Nitride (GaN) chargers for recharging iPhones and MacBooks, with the Nano II chargers said to be more efficient and compact than the company’s previous generation.

Launched on Monday, the Nano II range consists of a 30-watt charger, a 45-watt charger, and a 65-watt charger. Using GaN as the semiconductor, the chargers are able to be made with a very small footprint, while still providing high levels of power transfers.

In the case of the 30W, it is 59% smaller than the previous model, the 45W is 34% slimmer, and the 65W is 58% smaller than the original 61W version. Both the 45W and 65W models also benefit from having foldable plug designs to minimize their size in storage.

Using Anker’s second-generation “GaN II” technology, the chargers are claimed to have a 20% increase in working efficiency, enabling the smaller size while also producing less heat. A single USB Type-C connection is located at the top of each charger, managed with PowerIQ 3.0.
