Following the announcement of intentions to build up an equipment production factory in India earlier this year, Amazon India has created a dedicated resource portal to support the transition to e-Commerce by MSMEs (micro small, and medium-sized enterprises). Situated in the town of Surat, Gujarat, and recently opened by Gujarat’s CM Vijay Rupani, the Digital Kendra unit is named Amazon.

MSMEs are essentially going to learn more about digital technology and e-Commerce through the Amazon Digital Kendra. As the official blog post states, this will enable small and medium-sized companies to quickly move to digital entrepreneurs.

The Digital Kendra will offer MSMEs the appropriate resources and tools for developing their companies and for understanding different elements of e-commerce. The e-commerce giant will provide the creation and management of Digital Kendras to local companies and will give additional revenue streams.

Local entrepreneurs may therefore learn more about the eCommerce infrastructure, export markets, and other elements of digital enterprises management. In addition, MSMEs can use various third-party services to visit Digital Kendra. This covers e-commerce advantages, shipping, and logistics training in India, digital marketing, taxation and GST, cataloging aid, and more.

The city is home to hundreds of SMEs. Amazon India has decided to make Surat the venue for its first Digital Kendra. In addition, approximately 100,000 merchants are located in Amazon India in Gujarat state. The firm will evaluate the center’s success rate, and Amazon India will establish other Digital Kendras in other regions of India if it is favorable.

Amazon Digital Kendra “is an effort to build stronger relations to MSMEs and assist them profit from e-commerce in their proper tools, support, and infrastructure for services,” stated Amit Agarwal, Senior Vice President of Amazon India. The new Amazon Digital Kendra is available in a 360-grad tour of the following video.
